Steve Gordon is an award-winning composer, multi-instrumentalist and co-founder of Sequoia Records, which he has molded into a world-class record label since its inception 25 years ago along with his brother David. The Gordon Brothers out of the box originality in being the first to compose nature music for natural environments and to combine ancient world instruments with modern electronica that has made them the acclaimed artists they are today, having grossed over 1.7 million units in sales worldwide. A recent N.A.R. survey listed the Gordon Brothers as being in the top 5 most popular artists as reported by alternative retailers, along with artists such as Enya and Loreena McKennitt, and many of their albums have charted in Billboard.

He has as released twenty one albums with his brother David including the Billboard charting COVR Best World album and Record of the Year, Drum Medicine and the influential bestseller Sacred Earth Drums. So far he has released one solo album, Drum Prayer which featured top notch world music guest artists and received rave reviews. His also did one collaboration with Deborah Martin, Ancient Power which was an exploration that combined Native flute and drum with ambient music textures. He has compiled and produced 16 world and electronica albums with David and they have produced six albums from other artists and Steve has produced three.

Steve is also the creative force behind the electronica group, Artemisia. Their songs combine trip hop grooves with Spanish and Electric guitar with sensual female vocals from guest vocalists such as Irina Mikalova and Suzanne Sterling. You can find Artemisia songs on the Buddha-Lounge, Hotel Tara and the Celtic Lounge series. The first full length Artemisia album will be released in 2018. Steve plays world drums and percussion, Native-American and bansuri flutes, and keyboards but his main and favorite instrument is guitar, both acoustic and electric. He has recorded solo fingerstyle guitar songs that can be heard on the Celtic Lounge series and he is working on completing his first solo acoustic Celtic guitar album.
