Dr. Arlene Alexander (one of the founders of the Esteem Center in Los Angeles) draws upon 35 years of experience in meditation, holistic healing and yoga to help people find inner harmony and pure peace. MIND EXPANSION - COSMIC AWARENESS is both an inner and outer journey of growth and higher understanding about your true nature. In the first meditation, Dr. Alexander uses visualization exercises to imagine such scenarios as being the boundless universe, a speck of sand on a beach or an animal, freely bounding through its natural habitat. In the process, you'll develop a more universal sense of self and our interconnection. This exercise could be particularly useful for developing a greater sense of compassion for all beings in the universe. The second meditation focuses on music as a tool for expanding your consciousness and experiencing a higher plane of awareness (tapping into the science of Nada or Subtle Sound). Dr. Alexander's voice is soothing and gentle, with perfect compliment in the flowing, spacious musical ambience of David and Steve Gordon.
