Whether they are presenting their own material or that of like-minded contemporaries, David & Steve Gordon are a dependable source of exquisite music for the healing arts. REIKI HEALING LIGHT once again shows their skill in crafting an album tailor-made for relaxation and therapy. The music, designed either to be used as a companion for the art of Reiki or simply to create a lush atmosphere conducive to inner peace, offers over an hour of gentle music that will make you forget your worries and surrender to blissful serenity. Most of the songs are based on ethereal synth ambience, dotted with fluid keyboard tones. Piano, flute and guitar come into play on various tracks, with the occasional use of vocals, most notably on Sophia's "Hidden Waters." David & Steve are responsible for most of the album's music, including the sublime "The Return," which reminds one of gently trickling water in a fountain. Shajan, Ashron and Nik Tyndall & Bernd Scholl are also featured.
