Backroads Music
The third CD from Gary Stadler finds him in collaboration with singer Stephannie, who lends her heavenly voice to his lush, beautiful compositions. While it may be hard to compare this to "Fairy Night Songs," with Singh Kaur, it stands alone with its own Celtic "Magic" & fantasy touches. Stephannie is a new vocal sensation in her own right, and Celtic harpist Lisa Lynne joins Gary's divine piano and orchestral arrangements. The journey here is one of innocence and, healing, led by the soul's wisdom as it enters the world of ancient Celtic lore.

RhythmUS Network
Gary Stadler's Fairy Heart Magic will definitely appeal to fans of Enya and Loreena McKennitt. However, Stadler brings something new to New Age by combining his piano and keyboard mastery with the enchanting vocals of Stephannie and the celtic harpistry of Lisa Lynne has created a musical vision Gary Stadler where innocence and wisdom are one. Uniquely devised and artistically created, the realm of the Fey comes alive in his compositions. In "Garden of Dreams" Stephannie sings "I'll take you there faraway, A place you surely will stay, You'll find there deep inside, Songs of the morning tide, And music of the Fairies' way:". You will also find in "Fairy Night Songs" the following "Dancing the Spiral, we sing unaware. Of Fairy night wings, our songs fill the air. Making a circle of Magic and light...Impart to the Fey our hearts truest sight." Words that ring of light and magic as only those who have experienced it could know. Overall Fairy Heart Magic is a beautiful tapestry of celtic harp, piano, backing keyboard and female vocals, at times speaking in a language which may be Gaelic or Fairie speak! This is a CD you will want to put on repeat for days and dream of fairies and bask in it's beauty. Traditional celtic music with a brand new twist!

Circle Magazine
This third musical release by Gary Stadler will be a delight to those who enjoyed his previous releases, Fairy of the Woods and Fairy NightSongs. Stadler has added the music of Celtic and wire harpist Lisa Lynne. He has also added the new vocals of Stephannie to his group, about which Stadler says, "Many of the pieces on this CD are sung in a language that youll not understand... Its an ancient Fairy tongue reborn, given to Stephannie in her dreams. This magical language perfectly manifests my desire to utilize voice for its musical qualities, while freeing the listener to create his or her own personal imagery and meaning." Listeners will become enchanted with the trance inducing music that transports them to the fairy realm in a relaxing, renewing, and uplifting journey. The CD comes with a fourteen-page booklet of lyrics beautifully framed and accompanied by the fairy artwork of Katlyn Breene, which is in itself a treasure.

Daily OM
Pianist and composer Gary Stadler began his acclaimed Fairy music series as simple around-the-house piano compositions meant as lullabies for his wife. Their friends loved the songs and encouraged him to record them and the rest is history. You can hear the simplicity of long-lasting love and devotion in these songs, as well as the embodiment of the nocturnal mystery of sleep, as if Stadler was possessed, momentarily, by the friendly sandman, coming to gather the spirit body of his wife and lead her through a magical woods at night, singing to the moon through the shadowy trees. Fairy HeartMagic finds Stadler teaming up with sweet soprano Stephannie and harpist Lisa Lynne to make music more lush and involved than past Stadler Fairy albums, but no less assured, with Lynne's elegant harp work bringing Stadler closer to classical music respectability and Stephannie's vocals providing a Celtic, Enya-style romanticism.

The album opens with Lynne's gently cascading harp notes and Stephanie singing a summons to the dancing space of the nights spirits: "Dancing A Spiral we wing unaware /On faery night wings our songs fill the air / Making a circle of magic and light/ Watched silently by the fay of the night." The more hauntingly simple and emotional pieces such as "Sa'brooke" work their emotionally cathartic magic through Stephannie's beautifully sustained vocal notes, which wash over Stadler's string and piano arrangements like a warm, flowing wave.

The fairy night air is a lot like being underwater, so thick with magic you can climb just by flapping your arms or reaching for the stars. While the more lushly orchestrated pieces in Fairy HeartMagic are as wondrous and as enchanting as one might expect from the album title, the more restrained solo piano instrumentals like "HeartMagic" and "Deanash" are special standouts, with Stadler showing us why his original lullabies catapulted him to fairy-niche stardom. Immensely melancholy yet happy, it's deep, classical-style mood music that's also light as a feather, "Deanash" gathers many of the elements we associate with escape, love, and longing for something just out of sight, the twinkle of a flying fairy out of the corner of our eye, the exotic unfamiliar, uncanny strangeness of the enchanted woods at night. No harm can come to you with Stadler's warming, anchoring low-note piano. All you have to do is close your eyes, hug the pillow a little closer, and let the magic of the Fairy Heart sing you sweetly to sleep.

Pan's Grove
If you like Fairy of the Woods or Fairy Nightsongs, you'll love this album. With more vocals and even more musical color this album brings you into the hearts of the fairys/fairies. As with all Gary Stadler music, the opening song is the best on the album. However, there are other great songs to behold on this albums - for example, Veil of Elphame is a song that strikes the mind and the hearts of lost souls.

This album was dedicated to the memory of Gary's Fairy Nightsong's partner, Singh Kaur who has passed away and also Brook Thom. Gary also thanks his wife Tamara, and David and Steve Gordon on the back of the album booklet. Who's the harpist on this album?? Lisa Lynne is the Celtic harpist on this album, and the foreign tongue is that of the fairies. A wondeful album, like no other. Great for children and adults alike. The album booklet explodes with life and color. The cd is enhanced to bring you two additional songs in MP3 format ( in case you own a computer). This album, all in all is amazing, and inspires awe in everyone who stops to hear it.

Innerchange
Following up the album Fairy of the Woods (previously reviewed in Innerchange), Gary Stadler now brings us another enchanting musical journey with Fairy Heart Magic. Accompanying Stadler is vocalist Stephanie. Her voice and lyrics move this album CD from average to good. Metaphorically, Stephanie's voice ranges from the mossy forest floor to shafts of sunlight piercing dark clouds, as she sings her magic in English and ancient Gaelic.

There is something in this music that rings absolutely true. It reflects another time "knowingness" with the earth religions and the roots of the Celtic wisdom. If you have a connection with the "Mists of Avalon" this is an album you will want to have

New Age Retailer Magazine
Gary Stadler's first two albums, Fairy of the Woods and Fairy NightSongs, was released to both critical acclaim and significant commercial success. Stadler, who plays all the instruments on Fairy HeartMagic except harp (which is played by the renowned Lisa Lynne), felt he'd found his music's voice with Singh Kaur on Fairy NightSongs. Sadly, she passed away soon after the album was released. But 16-year-old Stephannie's pure voice continues to add a fairylike quality to his music's sound.

On Fairy HeartMagic, Stadler once again evokes the otherworldly innocence of the fairies. Ancient Celtic lore describes the world of the fairies, and Stadler recreates that time with his compositions. Piano and keyboards are his main instruments, and he uses them with graceful and gentle skill. I recommend featuring all three titles, perhaps with fairy figures and a shimmering gossamer fabric as the backdrop. Fairy HeartMagic will fill your store with wondrous energy.

Visionary Voyager Radio
I was impressed especially, by Gary Stadler & Stephannie's Fairy Heartmagic. It is naturally, mostly modern music, but with refined arrangements and layers of food for the mind, body and heart. It allows the conscious mind to rest. Anyone looking for an air of mystery will find it here. Anyone searching for high quality sound will not be disappointed. One can derive pleasure from listening to any track any time of the day or evening. Fairy Heartmagic is a gift for romantics, those in love and anyone who enjoys listening with their imagination.

An Angel's Kiss
An influential musician in the genre of contemporary Celtic music, Gary Stadler has created a portal to the world of the Fae with his series of Fairy Songs. A pianist and composer, Gary Stadler began his Fairy music series as simple piano compositions created as lullabies for his beautiful wife. Truly enchanting, the music opens fairy doors and invites them to come in and play with you ... whether you are a believer or not. Expect magic and mystery ... and of course a little mischief.

Fairy Heart Magic is the fourth CD of six fairy albums to date by Stadler. A tapestry of pleasantries of every color, the emotive music is much like a film score and could easily bring a lot of color to a motion picture about the fairy folk. Joined by the sweet soprano of Stephannie and the elegant harp of Lisa Lynne, Stadlers' vision is almost that of a creation while under the influence of a perfect possession of the fairy. Stephannie's vocals at times have an Enya sound, although this is not always the case. She sings in an unfamiliar language, the foreign tongue is that of the fairies as well as in English. This fairy language came to her in a dream. Celtic harp, gorgeous, celestial vocals, delightful piano and lots of heartfelt emotion create a truly unique musical spell that unlocks the doors within our hearts to the beautiful world of magic.

Conjuring up colorful and delightful, ethereal, mythical being of folklore and romance with magical powers that they share with me, Fairy Heart Magic is an invitation to the fairies. At times they teach me to use my own powers, while some times they teach me the herbs ... always benevolent, even in their mischievousness.

Comforting, joyful and lovely ... a true to heart invocation of the fairies and a gift to us all. This album gives me good dreams. Try it yourself. Play it just before bed and allow it to soothe you to sleep. Be sure to keep a pen and paper near by to write down your dreams when you awake.

This is a great album for the little ones too ... both the young at heart and the children. If you are having a hard time putting them asleep, try Fairy Heart Magic. You will taste the magic, as they are bound ... spellbound that is ... to fall under.

The CD comes with a fourteen-page booklet with the lyrics (some in an ancient fairy language) and beautiful fairy artwork. The booklet is exploding with color, life and pixie dust, put together by the lovely artist Katlyn Breene. The lyrics are beautifully framed and the art of Katlyn Breene is stunning, creating an even richer and deeper sense of the fairy realm.
